Room Modes Explained With Eigen

Eigen's room mode analysis

Ever been in a bad-sounding room? Been told your studio needs bass traps? One key problem in room acoustics – especially studio acoustics – is room modes. Here’s how they work and what you need to know about them. We recently released Eigen, our reverb plugin, which lets you build a virtual cuboid-shaped room of any dimensions […]

Update: Introducing Keyboard Control In All Lese Plugins

To improve the workflow in our plugins, we’ve added WASD and arrow control to our entire plugin lineup. Here’s what we’ve added. Shift + whatever movement key you’re using sets the active slider to the maximum / minimum value (shift + W / D / Up / Right would maximize it, for instance). If the […]

Meet Codec. Codec comes from an idea we had for a plugin some time ago: “What if you could simulate a bad internet connection?” Looking around, we couldn’t find that much that accomplished what we wanted. New Release: Recurse, a Recursive Audio Processor

recurse release render

Created from a desire to make “Recursive Music”, Recurse was initially designed to mimic tools used by artists such as William Basinski, where audio is sent through effect chains over and over again, slowly altering the sound over time from the imperfections in the recording medium. Recurse simulates these imperfections internally, and provides extra effects for you to plug into the audio loop.

If you want to make a new kind of dub machine, Recurse can do it. If you want to distort & age your audio with Recurse’s Degrade module and forget about looping, Recurse can do that too.
