New updates are here!
Our plugins are used by lots of people (probably including you!) and we get a lot of feedback on how to make them better.
The latest batch of plugin updates includes changes that a number of users have requested to make them better. While Slice & Frahm recieved the main updates; others got small updates as well;
Slice 1.1.0
Slice‘s update allows for a new workflow; Now you can drag & drop samples from your DAW into Slice and use them instead of the incoming audio. There may be some DAWs which don’t support this, and in those cases.
In these cases, Slice is no longer acting as an effect, moreso just a “sound generator”,
When Slice is set to run off of an external sample, it will also save the file path of the sample in it’s state, and re-load it when the project using Slice is turned on again. (this can be toggled on & off)
Frahm 1.2.0
One complaint with Frahm was it’s low volume when the size value was set to high distances. This was because the size increased the dimensions of the simulation space, but the distance volume falloff was accurately modeled.
Now Frahm has a button that can turn the distance volume attenuation on & off. When the attenuation is ON, the plugin behaves the same way as before (and is set ON by default).
When the attenuation is turned OFF, you can still hear the Doppler effect (if it’s turned on) and the spatial qualities are still present. In this case, it turns it into a strange sort of stereo-binaural phaser / flanger effect.
Beyond the attenuation button, Frahm now also has the ability to load in custom samples! It works the same way that Slice’s system does, but the sample has to be dragged onto the particle visualizer (or you can manually load in a sample by clicking on the logo menu)
We will be putting out some new videos demonstrating Slice & Frahm’s new feature sets on our YouTube channel soon.
We have also done some more tiny quality improvements on other plugins, and some initial bugs that were present in Hikari have been fixed.
Right now, you can get our plugins for a 25% off discount by using the code SUMMER25. Happy producing!
